A friend comment on one of the photos from this session “Ah, more Bruna Guerra magic”, which made me very happy but also thoughtful. Am I the one doing the “magic”? Well, certainly I believe I do have talent otherwise I wouldn’t be doing this, but what I realised is that it’s not me doing the magic, it’s me capturing their magic. I believe the magic happens when you let yourself be just you, when you breath and share love. And that’s what gets me while photographing families, kids are so raw and genuine and the parents just can’t resist!
My family sessions are all about having fun, enjoying the moment and being yourself. They are very organic and I like to interfere as minimum as possible. I let the kids do their thing, play and enjoy lots of cuddling with the parents. And then…. then the magic is just there, waving at me and asking to be captured. I just need to train my eyes to be sensible and see the beauty happening right in front of me.
Usually people prefer to wait for warm weather to have a photo session, but I think winter can be enchanting (specially if you have some snow)! I love this session not only because it’s a very dear family and little Emma has a special place in my heart, but also because the light was gorgeous and although it was freezing, we had fun trying to warm up 🙂

Um amigo comentou em uma das fotos dessa sessão “Ah, mais mágica da Bruna Guerra”, o que me deixou super feliz mas também pensativa. Será que sou eu fazendo “mágica”? Bom, é claro que eu acredito que tenho talento, se não nem trabalharia com isso, mas eu me dei conta de que não sou eu fazendo mágica, sou eu capturando a mágica acontecendo. Eu acredito que a mágica acontece quando você se permite ser você mesmo, transpira e compartilha amor. E é isso que me pega toda vez que fotografo famílias! As crianças são tão inocentes e genuínas e os pais não resistem a tanta fofura!
Minhas sessões de família são para você se divertir, curtir o momento e ser você mesmo. Elas são bem naturais e eu gosto de interferir o mínimo possível. Eu deixo as crianças fazerem o que gostam, brincar e curtir muito chamego e carinho com os pais. E ai gente…. ai a mágica está lá, acenando para mim e pedindo para ser capturada. Eu só tenho que treinar meus olhos para serem sensíveis e enxergarem toda essa beleza acontecendo na minha frente.
Normalmente as pessoas preferem esperar por um clima mais quente para fazerem fotos, mas eu acho que o inverno pode ser tão encantador (especialmente se tiver um pouco de neve)! Eu amo essas fotos não só porque é uma família querida e a pequena Emma tem um lugar especial no meu coração, mas também porque a luz estava espetacular e apesar de estar gelado nós nos divertimos tentando nos aquecer 🙂
